How to Have a Good Morning

Reading Text
How to Have a Good Morning

A good morning can help you have a better day. You do not need to make big changes. A few simple habits can help you feel ready for work, study and other activities.

1. Get up at the same time

Try to get up at about the same time every day. This can help your body have a regular routine.

You may feel tired when you first get up, especially if you did not sleep well. Give yourself enough time to get ready. Try not to hurry.

2. Drink some water

After you wake up, have a glass of water. Your body needs water during the day.

Keep a glass or bottle of water near you. This can make it easier to remember to drink.

3. Eat breakfast

If you are hungry in the morning, eat a healthy breakfast.

You could have:

porridge with fruit
eggs and bread
yoghurt and fruit
wholemeal toast

A healthy breakfast can give you energy for the morning.

4. Move your body

You do not need to go to the gym to exercise.

You can take a short walk, do some simple exercises at home or walk to work if possible.

Even ten or fifteen minutes of movement can be a good way to start the day.

5. Prepare for your day

Before you leave home, check what you need to do.

Look at your diary or calendar. Prepare your clothes, bag or lunch if you need them.

When you prepare in advance, your morning may be less stressful.

6. Start slowly

You do not have to do everything quickly.

Give yourself a few quiet minutes before you start work or study. Take some deep breaths and think about the day ahead.

A simple morning routine can help you feel more organised and ready.
